Our Milestones

1994

Berkley Select begins operations in June 1992 as Monitor Liability Managers offering professional liability insurance, including accountants professional, private directors and officers, employment practices, lawyers professional and fiduciary liability to individuals, businesses, professional services firms and organizations nationwide on both an admitted and surplus lines basis.

2007

Berkley Select launches as an underwriting manager specializing in professional liability products, including lawyers, accountants and miscellaneous errors and omissions on a surplus lines basis.

2014

Monitor Liability Managers moves from their headquarters in Rolling Meadows, IL to downtown Chicago.

2018

Berkley Select and Monitor Liability Managers are combined into one operating unit to provide a single entity for professional liability with superior expertise.

2019

Daniel Spragg is named president of Berkley Select. Berkley Select moves into their current office location at 550 W. Jackson Boulevard in Chicago, IL.

2022

Berkley Select celebrates its milestone 30-year anniversary.

2023

Berkley Select is named a 2023 Best Places to Work by Business Insurance
